Inspiration-Qi: Tapping Into Your Creative Potential

Inspiration-Qi is the energy that fuels your creativity and ignites your deeper purpose. It’s what empowers you to think beyond the obvious, feel with greater depth, and take bold, innovative action. It’s the quiet whisper urging you to imagine something new and the driving force behind bringing those visions to life.

The word “inspiration” comes from the Latin in spiritus—to be “in spirit” or connected to something beyond yourself. In German, it’s beautifully captured by Begeisterung, meaning to be filled with enthusiasm or spirit. These words reflect a universal truth: inspiration is a connection to something larger, a flow of energy that unites us with infinite creative potential.

This energy, which some call “the All,” goes by many names in spiritual traditions—God, Universe, Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva, Sang Hyang Widi, or simply the Source. Whatever you call it, it is the boundless wellspring of creativity, gratitude, love, and purpose. It’s what drives you to step into your unique role, your soul’s mission, and create a life that feels aligned and meaningful.

Inspiration-Qi works like a dynamic cycle: it sparks new ideas, sustains growth, and sometimes dismantles old patterns to make way for fresh insights. Through this process, you learn, evolve, and expand into your fullest potential.

Your soul is your personal expression of this energy—a one-of-a-kind combination of ego, experience, and universal creativity. Think of it as your own channel for tapping into the limitless potential of the universe, your way of bringing something uniquely you into the world.

Across cultures and history, people have sought to understand and depict this creative energy. Myths of angels, bodhisattvas, nature spirits, and deities remind us of the many ways Inspiration-Qi can manifest. These stories are like guideposts, showing us how deeply we’re connected to a larger creative force.

However, it’s important to differentiate between Inspiration-Qi and religion. While religions often speak of inspiration and the soul’s connection to the divine, they are structured systems of beliefs and values. Inspiration-Qi, on the other hand, transcends these boundaries. It’s not limited to one framework or faith—it’s a universal energy available to everyone.

This space is dedicated to exploring Inspiration-Qi as a tool for personal growth and transformation, free of dogma or judgment. It’s about reconnecting with your creative potential and learning to harness this energy to align with your purpose, overcome challenges, and live a more inspired life.

2. Energetic meanings/functions Inspiration Qi

Inspirational Qi operation is considered pseudoscience by many in rationally oriented societies. Pseudoscience consists of assertions, beliefs or practices that are claimed to be both scientific and factual, but are incompatible with the known scientific method as such. But scientific unverifiable claims are not necessarily false. History has countless examples of this.

Inspiration-Qi raises questions that have preoccupied scientists and philosophers for centuries: Where does creativity come from? How does inspiration work on a neurological level? Although science is still mapping the phenomenon, research points to the role of neural networks such as the default mode network (DMN), which is active during rest and daydreaming. This network stimulates unexpected connections in our brains. But where that “unexpected” comes from has not been explained. This is where science and spirituality complement each other.

Inspirational creativity produces completely new unique inspirations, (illness) healing or creations!

Human imagination has evolved tremendously over the centuries, giving rise to innovations like radio, cars, and artificial intelligence. Yet, there’s a difference between discoveries born from logical reasoning and those fueled by true inspiration. The most transformative ideas often come from a spark of creativity that transcends routine thought—a connection to something deeper and more profound.

Many accomplished figures, from scientists like Newton and Einstein to modern leaders and artists, have embraced spirituality as a source of inspiration. They recognized that spiritual energy, or Qi, supports creativity, offering insights that go beyond what the rational mind can explain. This unseen force transforms inspiration into vivid ideas and powerful visions, driving humanity’s greatest achievements.

Your heroes—whether public figures, family members, or mentors—can ignite your own inspiration. Their energy can help you align with your soul mission, making it easier to find passion and purpose. When you infuse your pursuits with heart and joy, your efforts become more sustainable, fueled by the energy of love and connection.

And importantly, remember that you can inspire others, too. True inspiration comes from embodying love-based qualities like humility, patience, and generosity. These traits resonate universally and leave a lasting impact. By living with intention and sharing your unique gifts, you contribute to the infinite cycle of creativity and connection that defines human potential.

Inspiration can also come to you indirectly (through objects). For example, through a work of art that inspires you (instead of wondering what you literally see, you feel attracted or not, or happy, or stimulated). This is also used when using totems or ritual objects. We tend to define Love or Light and Dark as Qi energies. In Bali, it is defined as energy of right and left. Perhaps that is a purer definition, as dark energy is just a reflection of a challenge. An energy to heal or be healed. It is just two poles that allow energy to flow. That is why many shamans/healers 'from the white' or 'right' also have to face and learn to deal with 'the dark' or 'left'.

When we talk about spiritual Qi, you can take two 'views': you are part of it or you are connected to it. Energetically there is no difference. If your leg could 'think' it might say, I am a leg, and connected to the rest of a body. From 'above' you would say: no, you are a leg, part of my body! Energetically, there are 7 interdependent Qi in your '7Qi system' connected to many other energies. I am either I am One, or I am part of something greater: Wholeness. The Holy Spirit connects me as a 'son' to the Father. It is all the same.

Inspiration Qi is stimulated by creating inner space (meditation, prayer, silence, daydreaming) and various external sources of inspiration, such as nature, art, conversations, experiences or other people. This is why some large reputable companies encourage their creative employees to meditate during working hours!

When you “have” to do things, it is related to your values or those of others and is steeped in ego/beliefs. It is never sustainable. And it is usually uninspiring! When you feel an inner voice stimulating you or urging you to do something (allways creative/positive/helping), it is related to inspiration.

If you struggle with the 'undefinable' of inspiration Qi, consider for now defining it as a source of creativity or healing placebo, and explore its forms and effects. The important thing is that it exists and that it works!

3. Symbolic meanings/functions Inspiration Qi

Why would you want to know symbolic meanings? Your subconscious mind often works with images and symbols. A kind of summary of a combination of things, feelings you had with them, or ideas and beliefs you have with them. Once this comes to the surface or appears in your consciousness (e.g. during therapy sessions), it can help to clear up confusion, create clarity or bring desires or fears into focus. Or to bring concrete life goals into focus. Spirit-Qi symbolism can help with healing and clarify your life path.

I list some commonly used symbolic meanings of Qi7-Inspiration:

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is part of the Holy Trinity: The Father-The Son-and the Holy Spirit. He provides connection of you with the Father. With His love and inspiration for living a loving life. As a symbol a sign of (the desire for) growth and creativity and expressing your inspiration.

The Universe, planets, stars (galaxies)

The universe concept symbolizes infinite potential, infinite creativity, nourishing energy. As a symbol a sign of (the desire for) growth and creativity and expressing your inspiration.

The boddisatva or saint

Has a (symbolic) exemplary function for a (more) love-based life, compassion and devotion and overcoming fears.

The Sage (tarot card)

The Sage” or ‘the high priest’ is a tarot card that reflects profound knowledge, spiritual leadership, and the influence of teachings. And thus symbolizes getting inspiration through others, teachers, mentors, sages or saints

4. Disruption of inspiration and blockage

In our current society, we can be trapped by unbelief. We think (!) that only the mind and ego are real and sometimes we even forget about (the health of) our body! Your ego-centered thinking can even be a dictator punishing you for being open to more than mind, ego, feelings and body energy. In our brain, if we can't imagine it or feel something, our mind tells us, it's just not there. If you open to the fact that there is such a thing as inspiration, you will experience it.

You don't have to be spiritual/religious to experience inspiration. But rejection, disbelief, conditionality, ridicule, cynicism, ego-based thinking disrupts the subtle inspiration energy.

Every expectation “pollutes” the infinity of creative potential and disturbes inspiration Qi. Once you express expectations you bring focus and project beliefs/ego Qi. Let go of expectations. Simply open up, trusting that manifestation of that which emerges or appears is the best option for you in the moment you are in. The wisdom of Inspiration Qi is limitless and your 'set expectation' may be distorted with disruptive energies.

'Childlike' cheerfulness, motivation, inspiration, experienced (feelings and thoughts of) love, compassionate action, trust, methods under H5 (therapy) and especially silence and nature (with or without meditation or prayer) stimulate (the receptivity to!) inspiration energy.

Signs of disturbed inspiration-Qi:

  • Little creativity and imagination,
  • feeling inexplicably unhappy,
  • illness and stagnation in your system (constipation, fluid retention, etc.). (but do allways consult your GP while experiencing illness!). Of course illness can be caused by any (other 6Qi) blockage or disbalance! Combination of signs mentioned here can point to inspirational caused illness)
  • stagnation of growth (both physical and mental),
  • lethargy and lack of energy
  • attraction to fear-based thoughts and actions (power, lust, pride, greed, anger, gluttony, envy, laziness). Ego Qi in this case is usually excessive and disturbs inspiration Qi.

5. Therapy

  • Creative therapy: painting, music.
  • Meditation
  • Staying in silence
  • Nature, a forest or beach walk, or traveling and camping.
  • Visual art and music (quiet music, classical music, not “narcotic” house music or “wild” music) are methods of being more receptive to inspirational Qi.
  • Prayer, visiting church/prayer site
  • Conscious gratitude
  • Total or radical surrender, feelings of acceptance and trust (in the good).
  • Images of creation and manifestation (evoking), ecstasy
  • Summoning positive energy (the Almighty, saints, angels, helpers),
  • Shamanic consultation, offering, totem, amulet, treatment with gemstone or essential oil, breath work, sound healing, creative therapy are options. (See also the block on “dark and light Spirit-Qi”).

Affirmations

  • I connect with inspiration, with everything, with unlimited creativity
  • I invite sacred transformation
  • I embrace the oneness of all (beings)
  • I surrender to all positive ....
  • I am grateful for .....
  • I am open to receive love
  • I stop thinking now and experience

Dark and light 'spirit-Qi'

-'In light the shadow dissolves. Negativity is only suffering and longing for love'-.

If unpleasant experiences make it relevant to you, or you are invited to ceremonies, healing by healers, shamans or balians: read this block.

Whether you call it superstition, a self-fulfilling prophecy, placebo, or that you are very sensitive, the subtle inspiration Qi energy of 'negativity or worse' exists. But (only!) for those who subconsciously fear it or are open to it.

  • Realize that if you are invited to engage in dark energy or entities, you have a choice. A choice between fear and love. Choosing love-based thoughts and feelings will always bring you more.
  • Be aware that shamans or healers, if they work light/positive/love-based in their development, have clearly been taught how to parlay dark energy. You usually have not.
  • Ego-Qi can be helpful in dealing with dark spirit Qi (it doesn't exist, I don't go on this path, I stay away from it) but it can also stimulate sensitivity to dark energy (I hear something, I feel something, that man or spirit can influence me, someone is doing something, a (conditional) person has control over me, I see things, etc.).
  • extremes attract each other. So do love and fear. But true love remains unconditional and compassionately sees fear and anger as suffering and a means of learning and growing into love itself.
  • True spirit Qi is light: loving, respectful, helping, positive, stimulating, compassionate. With inspirations you can apply the rule of thumb: if it is motivating and loving it comes from Source! Otherwise it is lower, (suffering) and ultimately seeking love. Lower entities are conditional. They expect something in return for any 'help'
  • Do you visit a ceremony/shaman/balian: an important indication of good intention and light energy from this person is focused on love, learning and growing, and recovery! Ceremonies or sessions can be positive and supportive. Deepened self-insight or healing is common.
  • Genuine loving help and compassion is unconditional. Don't let something positive or your interest depend on something negative (a lower energy). Donation to a shaman is good, but where (a lot of) money or things are asked for and “conjuring” or “negatively influencing others” is offered, vigilance is in order. Do not make promises in that case.
  • He/She who has experienced dark shamanic rituals or demonic rituals or signals in other cultures may have come in contact with dark or lower inspiration/spirit-Qi. The only real remedy is to ignore and not engage in (inner) dialogue....
  • Cleansing (pouring water over/showering) and any cleansing ceremonies (incense, palo santo, white sage leaves, candles/light, harmonic music, positive people around you) can work.
  • For those who believe: use the Christ symbol/cross. Carry a cross, rosary or image with you. Or, for fears, ask advice/help from an ordained priest.
  • Even reading about, seeing, or talking about dark forces, is already a first opening for dark inspiration - Qi. If it does not purposefully occur on your path the motto remains: just keep away from it.
  • If you are inexperienced, sensitive or insecure then the advice is simply not to enter into the experience.
-'In light the shadow dissolves. Negativity is only suffering and longing for love'-.

Inspiration and Creativity in Modern Times

In today’s fast-paced world, finding inspiration and creativity is increasingly challenging. Polarization, negativity in the media, growing environmental pressures, and the constant stimulation of consumer desires can weigh heavily on our well-being. Add to this the monotony and stress of modern work, and it’s no wonder creativity and inspiration often take a backseat. Yet, these are essential for achieving balance, personal growth, and lasting happiness.

Your sense of happiness reflects both your inner state and how you perceive the world. Maintaining positive, love-based Inspiration-Qi is vital for health and fulfillment. Simple actions like keeping your living space tidy, spending time in nature, or stepping away from the chaos of daily life can create room for inspiration to flourish. Stress and fear are major disruptors of creativity, making it crucial to foster calm and positivity in your environment.

Interestingly, there’s a growing trend among young people to explore spirituality, religion, and community as avenues for inspiration. Spaces like churches or spiritual gatherings can provide meaningful, love-based connections—but self-awareness is key to navigating these without succumbing to fear or control-based influences. For others, creative pursuits like painting, music, or compassionate group activities such as volunteering can be powerful ways to rekindle Inspiration-Qi.

Ultimately, freedom of thought and expression is the foundation for embracing your unique creativity. Recognizing that imperfection is part of the human experience allows you to learn, grow, and appreciate yourself for who you are. By cultivating inspiration and staying true to your values, you can live a more meaningful and creative life while inspiring others along the way.

But (only!) for those who subconsciously fear it or are open to it. Realize that if you are invited to engage in dark energy or entities, you have a choice. A choice between fear and love. Choosing love-based thoughts and feelings will always bring you more. Be aware that shamans or healers, if they work light/positive/love-based in their development, have clearly been taught how to parlay dark energy. You usually have not. Ego-Qi can be helpful in dealing with dark spirit Qi (it doesn't exist, I don't go on this path, I stay away from it) but it can also stimulate sensitivity to dark energy (I hear something, I feel something, that man or spirit can influence me, someone is doing something, a (conditional) person has control over me, I see things, etc.). extremes attract each other. So do love and fear. But true love remains unconditional and compassionately sees fear and anger as suffering and a means of learning and growing into love itself. True spirit Qi is light: loving, respectful, helping, positive, stimulating, compassionate. With inspirations you can apply the rule of thumb: if it is motivating and loving it comes from Source! Otherwise it is lower, (suffering) and ultimately seeking love. Lower entities are conditional. They expect something in return for any 'help' Do you visit a ceremony/shaman/balian: an important indication of good intention and light energy from this person is focused on love, learning and growing, and recovery! Ceremonies or sessions can be positive and supportive. Deepened self-insight or healing is common. Genuine loving help and compassion is unconditional. Don't let something positive or your interest depend on something negative (a lower energy). Donation to a shaman is good, but where (a lot of) money or things are asked for and “conjuring” or “negatively influencing others” is offered, vigilance is in order. Do not make promises in that case. He/She who has experienced dark shamanic rituals or demonic rituals or signals in other cultures may have come in contact with dark or lower inspiration/spirit-Qi. The only real remedy is to ignore and not engage in (inner) dialogue.... Cleansing (pouring water over/showering) and any cleansing ceremonies (incense, palo santo, white sage leaves, candles/light, harmonic music, positive people around you) can work. For those who believe: use the Christ symbol/cross. Carry a cross, rosary or image with you. Or, for fears, ask advice/help from an ordained priest. Even reading about, seeing, or talking about dark forces, is already a first opening for dark inspiration - Qi. If it does not purposefully occur on your path the motto remains: just keep away from it. If you are inexperienced, sensitive or insecure then the advice is simply not to enter into the experience. -'In light the shadow dissolves. Negativity is only suffering and longing for love'-.\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_element_layout_column][/cs_element_layout_row][cs_element_layout_row _id="60" ][cs_element_layout_column _id="61" ][cs_element_text _id="62" ][cs_content_seo]Inspiration and Creativity in Modern Times In today’s fast-paced world, finding inspiration and creativity is increasingly challenging. By cultivating inspiration and staying true to your values, you can live a more meaningful and creative life while inspiring others along the way.\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_element_layout_column][/cs_element_layout_row][/cs_element_section][cs_element_section _id="63" ][cs_element_layout_row _id="64" ][cs_element_layout_column _id="65" ][cs_element_button _id="66" ][cs_element_button _id="67" ][cs_content_seo]< Previous Qi page (Soul Qi)\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_element_layout_column][/cs_element_layout_row][/cs_element_section][cs_element_section _id="68" ][cs_element_layout_row _id="69" ][cs_element_layout_column _id="70" ][/cs_element_layout_column][cs_element_layout_column _id="71" ][cs_element_text _id="72" ][cs_content_seo]MEDICAL DISCLAIMER: The information at this website is intended for general information purposes only and not intended as substitution for professional medical advice.
